Two Hands Gnarly Dudes Australia 2006

Two Hands Gnarly Dudes Australia 2006

GNARLY DUDES,
AN UNCTUOUS BAROSSA SHIRAZ

These gnarly old dudes stand around all lifetime long looking like thry are soldiers ready to be led into battle. Year in and year out they throw a crop of beautiful fruit that we tame and put into this bottle. Shiraz grapes, mature vines and the Barossa Valley, there is nothing quite like it.

Winemaking :-
The grapes were crushed into and fermented in open top potters, with regular pump overs twice daily to extract flavour, colour and tannin. The grapes were then pressed and the wine was transferred to tank and then racked to barrel for oak maturation.

Colour :-
Deep purple to black.

Aroma :-
Lifted aromas of raspberries, spice, fennel, espresso and milk chocolate.

Palate :-
The palate is very clean and fruit friendly, of medium body with firm but textured tannins. The acid and tannins balance the wines red and dark cherry flavours. The wine has the ability to reward in the medium term, 5-8 years if cellared correctly.

Cellar Potential :-
5 to 8 years

Thanks
